【Taipei Tops the World’s “Cities People Don’t Want to Leave” List

According to Gensler’s 2025 “City Pulse” survey, Taipei ranks No. 1 with a 64% satisfaction rate, ahead of global favorites like Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore, Sydney, and Berlin.
The study finds that a city’s long-term appeal is driven not only by job opportunities and infrastructure, but also by emotional connection:

Feels like home
Pride in the city
Becomes more livable over time
Growing sense of belonging
With its cuisine, culture, warmth of its people, convenient transport, and safe environment, Taipei once again shows the world its charm and heart.
